Lovely Celebration for Pilgrim Everett Jackman II
Recently we hosted a Pilgrim Presentation for our new Pilgrim, Everett Jackman II. Our lodge was filled with members and guests who came to celebrate with Pilgrim Everett Jackman, and his family. The Pilgrim Presentation was very moving and so beautifully done. Governor Steve Floyd opened the program and welcomed the guests. Chuck Barber was Sargent-at-Arms for the evening. Gail Marlatt was Pilgrim Governor and Carl Murphy was Pilgrim Past Governor. Blackie Veach was Pilgrim Jr. Governor. Charlie Bell composed and read a beautiful resume relating all that Everett has done since joining the Moose. Everett's children, Leila and Joshua, presented him with his gold Pilgrim jacket and his lovely wife stood with him for the ceremony. We were all moved by comments and congratulations from all eighteen Pilgrims who were present.

An awesome dinner was cooked by Everett's mom and brother, Giovanna Jackman and Todd Jackman. Bob Murphy, Carol Bell and Charlie Bell also helped with the food. The dinner was enjoyed by approximately 135 people.

We are -24 members in a active status on the lodge rolls. We have rested on our laurels for the past 10 months and now it is time to get off our butts and try to re-sign our inactive members or new members to get our membership in the plus column by April 30th. If any of you have a friend or relative that you think would enjoy helping the children at Mooseheart and the seniors at Moosehaven and also enjoy the friends and fellowship of our lodge activities, please ask them to join now. I also have a list of inactive members(members in arrears of their dues)in the office, please come by and take a look at it and see if anyone you know is on it, and then call them and see why they have not paid their dues, if they have a hardship maybe we can help. If we do not get our membership into the plus column, we will lose all of our honors we strive for each year. We have had many years of successful honors and are close to being #1 in our association, lets not back off know. As a member of the Board of Officers, I appreciate everything all of you, as members, do for this lodge and fraternity. But now I am asking for alittle bit more from each and everyone of you,

For your efforts in this last membership drive of the year, for each new or former member you sign – up, you will receive 2 Friday Night Dinner coupons and also an entry into 1 Friday night drawing. And don’t forget about all the incentives given by Moose Int’l and the Ca/Nv Moose Assoc. for signing members. See those flyers inside this bulletin.

On another note,it is time to elect our new board of officers for the upcoming year. If you are interested in helping the lodge thrive and becoming #1 in the association and fraternity, we want you and we need you. Please let me know or the Governor right away. It takes a lot of time and effort to fulfill this obligation, but it is satisfying. Remember it is all about the kids at Mooseheart and the seniors at Moosehaven.
I would also like to thank Alan Childs and his Board of Officers for the fantastic job they did the past 2 years. Alan did 2 terms as Governor, which is very difficult to do and he came through with shining colors.
Thank You to all the volunteers and members of this lodge for everything you do and are going to continue to do.
